David Marketon - Co-writer, Producer

David Marketon makes his feature film production debut with LAMBENT FUSE. He co-wrote the screenplay with Matt Cici. The two won a research grant in the summer of 2009 for the screenplay which allowed them to polish the characters and plot.

Marketon has always had a great interest in film since seeing the film, Fargo in 1997. In high school, he teamed up with Cici’s brother to collaborate and create short films for school projects, which ended up being a little more than just a film for a project. They generally took it to the next level by receiving training from Northwest Community Television in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and renting their equipment for film projects.

After graduating from Osseo Senior High School in 2003, Marketon attended North Hennepin Community College from 2003-2006 earning a Associate in Arts degree with a pre-engineering emphasis, but along the way took three film courses there. From there Marketon attended the University of Minnesota for Aerospace Engineering, Saint Cloud State University for Meteorology/Atmospheric Science and Aviation. With a strong background in science and math, he opted for the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota for Mechanical Engineering. He is active in flight training and the Minnesota aviation community and a lifelong member of Twin Cities AMS. His interests include aviation, filmmaking, an advanced interest in meteorology, engineering and baseball.
